Anselm took up SCD in 1991 and started playing the piano for dancing soon afterwards, having taken piano lessons from age 8. He now wishes he’d practiced more as a teen! Based in Mainz, Germany, Anselm has played for classes, workshops, ceilidhs, and balls all over Germany and abroad, including at RSCDS Summer School in St Andrews. He’s also a dance teacher and deviser, a composer of dance tunes, and runs the Strathspey Server, a popular SCD web site and discussion list.
